In their first official bio, Alexisonfire described
their sound as "two Catholic high-schoolgirls in mid-knife-fight." Needless to say, for the past eight years the St. Catharines natives haven’t been creating the kind of music that typically makes it to the mainstream.

Yet in Canada and around the world, the band has found a receptive audience that has helped it reach platinum-level sales and earn a number of awards – including three MMVA’s and the Juno for Best New Band in 2005.

Their fourth album, “Old Crows / Young Cardinals,” hits shelves next week. In the meantime, we bring you this exclusive stream of track #6, “The Northern.”
